10 SAFETY"KEYS"

In Propilven Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies constitute a fundamental tool for avoiding accidents and incidents in working areas, as well as to preserve workers' health and equipment and environment integrity.

All Propilven's employees participate in HSE related activities to reach the goal: ZERO accidents.

In order to keep our commitment, to be our customers' main ally and based on the importance of industrial safety in any working environment, following we present 10 safety keys which will be effective for preserving safety in our plant:
1. Carry out programmed inspections to detect and control insecure acts and conditions before having losses that involve people, equipment, material or environmental occurrences.
2. Effective patrolling allows us to identify deviations and to take measures before losses are caused.
3. Fires are fast! A small one can burn a room in just 3 minutes. The best way to fight a fire is by preventing it.
4. Put out all common fuel fire of by cooling down the material below its ignition point and by soaking fibers to prevent fire from restarting. Use pressurized water, foam (Class A extinguishers).
5. Never fight a fire if it is spreading beyond the area where it began and if you don't have the adequate equipment.
6. It is important to classify waste materials in order to optimize its handling, and to prevent the environmental pollution and avoid accidents.
7. All untrained workers should stay at least 3 meters away from unprotected energized circuits.
8. Connect all crane and/or truck tanks with flammable substances to the ground to control power hazards.
9. Inspection done to supplier and customers vehicles improves safety during raw material and products transportation and supply.
10. Inspect lifting of goods, the road and the load before starting the engine. Never exceed the load capacity.

OPPORTUNITY LAW

"Any person who finds him/herself in circumstances of accidents or danger and has the opportunity to intervene but he/she doesn't do anything, then he/she becomes a contributor of the damage that occurs as a result."
