Raffia
It is the process by which a semi-molten polypropylene sheet is cooled down in order to cut it in several straps. Next, straps are stretched and stabilized to be finally spunned or coiled.
Among the most common applications we can find fabrics for sacks, carpet backing, and ropes among others.
Multifilaments
It is the process by which multiple filaments of semi molten polypropylene are cooled down, grouped together, stretched and stabilized to be finally spunned or coiled. Main applications of multifilament are nets, threads, lines and ropes.
Spun bond Non-woven
In this process, multiple filaments of semi molten polypropylene are cooled down and later air stretched at a high pressure. The formed filaments are collected on a porous mesh to form the fabric, which will be finally stabilized by using pressure and temperature. Among the typical applications we can find cloths for physicians-surgical material, mattress protectors, geotextiles and cloths for plasticulture activities.
