It is the process by which the solid resin is converted into a melted state under certain temperature and pressure conditions, and is then forced through a nozzle in order to form constant cross section profiles.

The most commonly used extrusion processes used in polypropylene transformation activities are: BOPP (flat die or double bubble), cast film,  blown film, TWQ, tapes, monophilaments, fibers, spun bond and melt blown, sheets, corrugated cardboard , thermoformed, coatings, profiles and pipes.
